I often get asked why I have been so successful as a blogger and article marketing. Two reasons – consistency and frequency.

In other words one article is not going to cut it. You need to be writing articles often and publishing them. The more you do the better. An article once published is out there on the internet forever unless the internet comes to an end.

One article will be read often if it’s properly constructed. Imagine if you had ten articles or 100 or even a thousand articles out there all optimized for different key phrases out there. Do you think you might get some traffic to your sites and more to the point, do you think some of those visitors will buy from you? You betcha!

I often refer to my articles as my own personal sales team all selling for me. The great thing is, many of these articles get page one rankings and maintain them and keep selling for years. That’s the beauty of consistency and frequency in article marketing. Not all of your articles will be successful.

In fact, many will be duds. But when they are out there in numbers you only need 10-20% of them getting attention and your sales will be consistent and prospects will be channeled into your lead funnel at a regular rate.

Writing articles and using them to get backlinks back to your blog is powerful. Done in a natural fashion and more importantly, when the content you are writing is helpful and solution-based, then you are quickly going to develop a following as people start to realize you know what you’re talking about.

Article marketing and blogging go hand-in-hand. But unless you are doing them with some consistency and frequency then your results will generally reflect your efforts and be a little spasmodic.
